Notice that her body is much longer then the other Worker Bees. Also, if you look closely you can see a circle of bees around her all facing towards her. These are her attendants that take care of all her needs. Her only job is to lay eggs. A normal Queen Bee can lay about 1200 a day during the egg laying season which starts around late January thru the fall. |
