Excellent book for soap makers.
I got this book as a plus book with another book. It turned out to be one of the
best soap making books I own. Good book for the price. And easy to use.

Excellent guide for the beginning soap maker.
I bought this book in 1973,when the price tag was about $3.00. It's still an excellent value at
the present price. This is the ORIGINAL soapmaking book--the only one around at the time --and it's superb for beginners. Ms. Bramson goes through every detail of the soapmaking process. I learned on it; many new soapmakers have also learned on it. It's an excellent buy. It you can buy only one book about soap, buy this one!

        Midwest Book Review :
The price tag on Soap Recipes is outrageous for a slim paperback but some might consider the information herein to be important and worth the price: for Soap Recipes is a guide to seventy tested methods of making modern soap with herbs, vegetable oils and beeswax. Soap Recipes is packed with intriguing methods of making different kinds of soap for many different tastes. A most unusual book.

        Excellant Starter Book
I read this book from cover to cover and found it full of excellant info. The tips, techniques and interesting recipies were a great way for me to broaden my soapmaking experiencing. However, the price was a bit high for a book that I essentially no longer use. Once you get the hang of making soap, you find that developing your own recipies is more fun/interesting than following someone else's. If possible, review this book through your library before deciding if it is right for you.

        Excellent book for the beginner
The absolute best book for a beginner soapmaker. Offers 70 tested recipes in a straightfoward easy to read format. Best of all the author made all the recipes using 1# of oils. Perfect size for the person just starting out. Loved the illustrations.....humorous.
